Information
Since 1985, it has been a tradition for a county association from the Swedish Rabbit Breeders Federation (SKAF) to annually organize a National Exhibition (LU), where both Swedish and international breeders compete against each other. An LU is like the Swedish Championship for rabbit exhibitors, where both a Swedish Champion and a Swedish Junior Champion are crowned.
The Swedish Rabbit Breeders Federation (SKAF) has been active since 1919, and the Gävleborg local association since 1929. SKAF is an organization with a strong focus on breeding purebred rabbits, which are judged in exterior assessments. There are as many as 69 approved rabbit breeds listed in the Nordic Rabbit Standard. This standard serves as a reference for both judges and breeders, detailing the ideal appearance and evaluation criteria for the various rabbit breeds.
