The annual tradition is back
The gingerbread house at the Länsmuseet Gävleborg is an annual exhibition that is an obvious part of Gävle's Christmas tradition!
Information
On the first day of Advent, this magnificent work of art made of gingerbread is inaugurated, which attracts thousands of people from all corners of the country, to smell and view the details.
Margareta Persson built the first gingerbread house at the County Museum in 2005. It is judged to be one of the most beautiful in the world according to Beutifulnow.is.
The parts for the gingerbread castle construction is put together to stand until twenty days Knut.
In an interview with SVT from 2019:
- I think about how last year's house looked and then I want it to be different. I never have a theme, but I just go by feeling and desire, says Margareta Persson.
The fairytale characters that have moved into the castle are one of her hallmarks, where you can see the Sugar Prince sitting on his throne to welcome you to the gingerbread palace.
